Acceptable use
Use Connect for trusted scientific work.
These rules protect beta users, private marketplace data, and the scientific equipment community while Connect moves toward public production.
Do not
- Post fraudulent, misleading, unsafe, stolen, embargoed, counterfeit, or unlawfully transferable listings.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, dox, spam, scrape, phish, or attempt to bypass moderation, reporting, authentication, authorization, or rate limits.
- Upload malware, secrets, credentials, payment data, or files unrelated to the intended listing, offer, message, job, or application flow.
- Use Connect to coordinate illegal exports, prohibited transfers, sanctions violations, or unsafe handling of controlled equipment or materials.
Marketplace conduct
- Represent ownership, condition, location, included accessories, constraints, and availability accurately.
- Keep counterparties informed when a listing, quote, or job is no longer available.
- Use product reporting or abuse contact paths when a counterparty asks you to bypass trust and safety controls.
Community conduct
- Keep discussion technical, professional, and relevant to structural biology, scientific equipment, jobs, marketplace trust, or Connect operations.
- Disclose conflicts of interest when recommending vendors, service providers, listings, or hiring opportunities.
- Do not post private emails, quote terms, resumes, attachments, or identity details without permission.
Enforcement
SubAngstrom may review relevant message and account records, remove content, suspend accounts, disable risky actions, or preserve audit records when investigating abuse, security, privacy, or marketplace integrity issues.
